If you know a member who can’t come due to of a lack transportation, or a former member, please invite them to the picnic. The more the merrier! We have details in Club Business section.
Congratulations are in order our World Show competitors. I hear we had another great CFDCCrepresentation this year. Read on for the details.
Those of you who plan to enter the mini decoy contest have just a week to finish up.
Hope to see you at the picnic! Ron

At the April meeting...
The latest version of the club calendar was presented by Ron Pigg. It was decided to produce 2 calendars for 2018. This gives us enough space for all members who wanted their works featured in the calendar. The calendars will be ready by the September meeting. The cost will be less than $6.00 each.
If you have not ordered calendars and you want to to buy one or more calendars, contact us soon. To date we have nearly a hundred ordered.
Picnic details... As usual we will have a buffet potluck supper. The Club will supply entree meat, drinks, condiments, silverware, and other essentials. We ask each family to bring a favorite side dish such as a salad or a dessert. Someone has suggested an alternative entree this year. How do you feel about Mama’s Pizza? Or we can do the turkey filets and brats as in the past. We will need a little help with table setup. So if you are able to help, come a few minutes early.
After some opening comments and brief activities we will eat. Following the supper, we will have a drawing for guests and announcement of the People's Choice Award of the mini decoys. During this time we will set up for the main and final event of the day...the mini decoy contest and trade. Good luck to our competitors.
Please call (cell) 402 320-2947 or send your RSVP via email to Norm Wise at email@example.com by Sunday, May 7. Let us know your preferences. Majority will rule. Your RSVP will be helpful in the planning. If you are able, please stay to help with clean up.
If you are competing in the mini decoy contest, bring your bird to the registration table. Fill out your entry form. As with the contest last year, there will be two classes; 1. Open for intermediate to master carver’s, and 2. Novices for entry level carvers.
Each carving will be given a unique designation. Leave the completed forms at the registration table. Names will be covered with tape for the contest.
